Juvenile delinquency crimes, being an integral part of a crime in general, have its own specifics, which allows consider them as an independent object of study. Crimes among minors always cause increased attention of the society. This is justifiable since the younger generation is a natural reserve of social development. The prevention of crimes among minors is viewed on the scale of the world community as the most important aspect of prevention of crime in society as a whole. That is why writing juvenile delinquency research papers is a very important task.
Studying the problems of juvenile delinquency, as well as criminality in general, requires taking into account that particular situation - political, social and economic. Unfortunately, we have to state that at the present time, the world’s socio-economic background has a clearly negative impact on the youth. In the concept of "juvenile delinquency" are hidden two terms: "crime" and "minor offender". Include this info in the juvenile delinquency essay introduction. The definitions of crime are countless. More than two thousand years ago Socrates, addressing his listeners, said: "I decided that I would stop studying the inanimate nature and try to understand why it turns out that a person knows what is good and does what is bad." In the 30ies. XIX century. the famous Belgian scientist Adolphe Jacques Quetelet believed that crime should be treated as a social evil. The well-known Austrian psychologist Freud considered pre-failure as the result of a defective personality development. First of all, crime is a form of social behavior of people, violating the normal functioning of the social "organism". But such violations are immoral acts, and what is called deviant behavior. Of all violations, crime is most dangerous for society.
Criminality consists of the number of crimes committed in a given society and in a given period of time. However, it has its own patterns of existence, internally contradictory, connected with other social phenomena, which are often determined by them. Writing the juvenile crime essay thesis, state that crime is a negative social and legal phenomenon existing in human society, which has its own regularities, quantitative and qualitative characteristics, involving negative consequences for society and people and requiring specific state and public control over it. An obligatory condition for bringing a person to criminal responsibility is reaching a certain age. The person can be brought to criminal responsibility if it reached a certain age stated by a certain country. This is the general rule. At the same time, for a number of serious crimes, such as murder, robbery, rape, the law of each separate country establishes separate norms and rules. It is considered, that juveniles at the age of 14-16 reach such a degree of mental and volitional development that allows them to critically comprehend their actions. At this age, they can be aware of the public danger and are able to control their actions. At the same time, the society's careful attitude towards minors can be traced even after the commission of the latter wrongful act. This can be traced in the features of bringing them to criminal liability.
Turning to the problem of juvenile delinquency, and looking for a good juvenile delinquency research paper outline, one should ask the question: "What pushes a teenager to commit a crime?". Adolescents are one of the most unprotected categories of our society. They are more likely to experience stress and irritation. Their dreams of easy and rapid enrichment lead to various misdemeanors and crimes. Also, the juvenile delinquency is affected by events occurring in various subjects of the country. Very often, minors are involved in terrorist acts, organizations of riots, explosions. Teenagers are easily involved in extremist groups. Their desire to express themselves, also often leads to a criminal environment. This may be the answer to your why do people commit crimes essay.
The structure of juvenile delinquency is dominated by serious crimes, with most of it being looting, burglary and robbery. The number of crimes committed by minors in a state of alcoholic or narcotic intoxication is growing. The high level of juvenile delinquency naturally causes interest in the personality of the adolescent - the offender. The spiritual life of adolescents is deformed due to penetration in their environment and the standards of everyday behavior that are not compatible with the traditional values of our society through the means of mass media, household contacts.
According to the teachers, television is dangerous for teenagers. There is a correlation between violence on the screen and the increase in juvenile delinquency: what the minors see on television, they strive to implement. Parents became less engaged in children, trying to shift their educational functions to the school, the street, the media. It is noticed that a joint family watching TV replaces the communication of parents with children. Sports clubs and various cultural groups and sections are inaccessible to many children. Because of the high prices, most forms of leisure are not available for adolescents. In the summer, the younger generation is left to itself. Therefore, it is no accident that teenagers' favorite pastime places are lofts, cellars where they lead an uncontrolled way of life and are free to choose "entertainment."
Answering the question as should children be tried as adults essays, it should be noted, that the whole psychological situation in family life plays an important role in the emotional nature of the relationship between parents and children. Children’ psychology depends on the way adults treat them, and that is a fact. Adults are a kind of "psychological center" for a minor. It is known, that in those cases when the "psychological center" in the person of the mother, father or other person replacing them does not fulfill the functions assigned to him by nature and society, the child has a feeling of anxiety, uncertainty, and insecurity. This forms in him a personal position of rejection of the environment, misunderstanding of it. The child even begins to expect a threat from society. In the juvenile justice essays, note that from year to year, the number of crimes committed by minors increases. One of the psychological factors in the formation of criminal behavior is the emotional estrangement of the person. On the other hand, the negative influence of peers on the formation of the teenager's sense of justice increases. Informal groups also contribute to the spread of alcoholism, drug addiction and substance abuse in a teenage environment.
Thus, it should not be forgotten that the foundations of character, attitudes, values are initially laid in the family. At early age children are taught the basics of moral requirements, rules of conduct and decency. And in this connection, all the further process of education (in school, at work, in public organizations, etc.) already has certain moral foundations laid down in the character of the person by the family. Therefore, defects in family education are one of the main causes of crimes and other offenses committed by minors. As a result of the influence of social, economic, and political factors in recent years, some families have developed a crime situation. It led to an increase in the number of antisocial families of various types.
Currently, children and adolescents are in the most difficult situation in the society. That is what you should state in your why juveniles should not be tried as adults essay. They are not protected from the negative influence of an unhappy parent family, as a result of which a significant number of children and adolescents receive an example of immoral life image. Thus, they are deformed in their development, acquiring negative personal qualities.
The number of people living in dysfunctional families remains significant. There were disagreements between the older members of the family, and also between them and the children, resulting in open conflicts. Many adolescents committed a crime not for reasons of an unfavorable combination of circumstances, but because they gradually approached the offense in the process of degradation of the individual. The formation of the minor offender personality in the family is influenced by the following factors:
In such families, immoral, violent way of communication became established. Mutual disrespect, rudeness, cruelty, frank cynicism in interpersonal relations, on the one hand, cause a strong hatred of the immediate perpetrators of the creation of such a situation in the family, and on the other simultaneously form similar qualities and attitudes among adolescents themselves.
If you’re creating the juvenile delinquency history essay, it is best to tell a real story providing an example. One of the incentives for teenagers to commit offenses is unfair, roug behaviour of his family members. Usually, the aggressor in the family is a man, and his victims are those who are weaker. But if women, especially childless, can get rid of the offender by divorce, then the children have no such opportunity. They forced to endure beatings and tortures in the vast majority of cases from their own parents. The mental state of many juvenile offenders is characterized by a constant desire to run away, change their place of residence and study. He seeks to get out of a difficult or conflict situation. As a teenager grows up and becomes independent, he gets the opportunity to escape from these conditions of life, to avoid reproaches, indifference, as well as beatings. In the should juveniles be tried as adults research paper, state that adolescents who are constantly subjected to such treatment in the family develop the conviction that rudeness is the norm of relations between people. They easily fall into a state of anger, and their anger most often poured out on the weaker: younger in age, old, sick people, animals.
The formation of the teenager personality in the family is adversely affected if he is cohabited by close people who were previously convicted of certain crimes. About 40% of minors criminals come from families in which brothers or sisters were previously convicted. This is important to write in the juvenile delinquency linked to adult crime essay. It should also be noted that in families where violence is a favorite means of influence, children’ bitterness against parents persists for life. The teenager becomes embittered, cynical, emotionally deaf. He does not consider the interests and feelings of other people. He has a hatred for people. In normal social and psychological conditions, a teenager will never become a criminal. We must not forget that juvenile delinquents are ordinary children who, as a result of improper education and bad example, have become criminals.
Summing up, we can say the following: a juvenile offender became a criminal, precisely because he did not feel the support of his parents, society, state at the time. Namely, proceeding from this should be the basis for the prevention of deviant adolescent behavior, which could help him to adapt to the social environment.
Writing the causes of juvenile delinquency essay, state that they are a part of the general causes of crime in the world, as the very crime of minors actively promotes crime in general. Negative phenomena and processes of economic, ideological, social, psychological, cultural, educational, demographic nature, occurring in society, are most painfully reflected in the most unprotected part of the population - children and adolescents. At present, many countries in the world are not able to allocate the necessary material resources for the development and upbringing of the younger generation, the protection of its health and the organization of leisure activities, and the provision of assistance to the family. Therefore, homelessness increase. So, according to selective data, only 15% of minors can be considered practically healthy. This circumstance significantly limits their ability to continue education, choose a profession, domestic and work structure, join the socially useful values and groups, and ultimately leads many to illegal behavior.
The concept of juvenile justice initially applied to special courts for minors, which appeared at the end of the XIX century. Writing the juvenile delinquency incarceration and criminal justice system essay, say that purely judicial juvenile justice began to turn into a juvenile system. It is already formed in some countries and tries to win positions all around the world. The juvenile justice system gradually included the bodies of social supervision over the situation of the child in the family, the promotion of children's education on health issues, and later, sexual education. Juveniles are a social group that is particularly sensitive to the negative consequences of economic, social and spiritual upheavals. Therefore, many researchers note the social alienation of adolescents and their willingness to escape life's problems in the world of alcohol and drugs, lack of life prospects, opportunities to be realized in socially useful activities, a sense of purposelessness of existence, rejection in the family and social orphanhood. All this actively criminalizes the adolescent environment, but it does not concern all minors, but, first of all, the unsecured strata of society. This theme is important to write about if you’re looking for juvenile delinquency research paper topics.
An important cause of juvenile delinquency has been the deterioration of the social and economic status of the poorest sections of the world’s population. It cannot be said that the entire population of developing countries has become impoverished since it is not so. But the gap between the poor and the rich has widened considerably, the situation of the poor often becomes hopeless, which has the most negative impact on juvenile delinquency. Another factor is the negative processes in the family. Unfortunately, the family often cannot or does not want to give the teenager the necessary help, control his behavior, care about him, and, finally just love him. The factor of material security, in this case, is practically irrelevant. After all, there are examples when a well-to-do family, which, it would seem, does everything for the child: it controls his behavior and studies, satisfies his desires and even whims, gives the opportunity to master foreign languages, play sports, etc., does not provide the main thing - love, emotional warmth in the relationship between the child (adolescent) and the parents. That is what you should include in your juvenile crime is a cry for help essay. There is a latent rejection, pushing the child out of the family, which, incidentally, is rarely realized by them and the family.
Another criminogenic family factor is a negative example of older people, especially those with whom the juvenile has a lasting emotional contact. With its presence, he easily and willingly perceives and assimilates what the elder shows him. In the absence of an emotional connection, a teenager does not perceive from adults either good or bad and begins to seek recognition, support, and help in informal small groups - among peers on the street.
Is it possible to consider an incomplete family unsuccessful only because it is incomplete? Yes, if we proceed from the idea that nature itself ordered that the child (adolescent) be raised by both mother and father. Each of them has certain duties, the failure of which can lead to undesirable consequences. But if one of the parents, let alone both lead an anti-social way of life, commit immoral acts and crimes, it is better to isolate the teenager from them.
Adolescents rejected by the family or who do not have a family usually do poorly in school and commit minor offenses. They also tend to inevitably unite in small groups. Small groups are a kind of collective father for them, understanding, loving, ready to provide support and help. These small groups are opposed to family and school. Creating the research papers on juvenile delinquency, note that the less attention the family pays to a child, the fewer chances he has for success in school and stronger attachment to an informal group of peers, as well as a general alienation from a positive environment.
An informal group of peers becomes the main area of his life. It might be said that informal peer groups are generally groups that are rejected by the family and school. Teens themselves should be responsible for what they do. And they themselves are guilty, it's natural. But nevertheless, they are teenagers thrown out of family and school.
In a research paper on juvenile delinquency, it is important to note that the shortcomings of school education and training create a crime factor. The family and the school have repeatedly been reproached and, apparently, will always be reproached for not providing the proper moral formation of the adolescent's personality. Groups of peers, formed from the number of schoolchildren, consist, as a rule, of those who are poorly educated and often violate discipline. They are often joined by young people who do not study and do not work. Such groups are gradually moving from minor offenses to more serious ones.
Disadvantages of school education, domestic criminologists have always been among the factors that generate not only juvenile delinquency but also affecting crime in general. They can be grouped as follows.
If you’re looking for good juvenile justice research paper topics, consider writing about the reasons for illegal behavior, that leads the minor to the court. It is generally believed that in the criminal behavior of adolescents, selfish motives usually dominate. However, different researchers understand different kinds of self-interest in various ways, often understanding under it a non-material gain. Without disputing that profit is the most common among other motives among teenagers committing crimes, it is necessary to note other motives: envy, the desire for self-affirmation, attempts to overcome the painful sense of one's own inadequacy and even inferiority, the desire to gain authority and respect in the eyes of the group, as well as satisfy their basic physiological needs. Like among other people, criminal behavior among adolescents is poly-motivated, that is, it is determined by several interwoven motives, for example, self-assertion and self-interest.
Creating a research paper on juvenile justice system, it would be great to mention that according to the criteria of the US, social supervision is beyond the control and subordination of state bodies. Appealing decisions of social bodies in the event of the withdrawal of children from families lasts a long time - up to several years. For instance, 80,000 children in Finland fell under the control of the guardianship authorities. A significant number of children was withdrawn from families. Thus, juvenile justice is directly related to the project of replacing the family institute with the institution of the social patronage. American psychologist and psychiatrist Bruno Bettelheim, on the experience of working in his own school, found that for the normal development of the child's personality, he needs the attention of an adult filled with love. The child uses the personality of a close adult as a kind of frame for building his own personality. But it is this personal communication that the child has in the family, and it is in the family that he adopts the culture of relations, the foundations of building his own life. Don’t forget to state this in the juvenile justice research paper.
In everyday life, there are many criminal situations. They are associated with crimes of unselfish, mercenary, against honor and dignity, against health and life. Everyday life is rich in various excesses, which are indirectly affected by our absent-mindedness, hindsight, and frivolity. Sometimes violence, even unmotivated, is provoked by teenagers who want to test themselves and their friends for the degree of brutality. The division between juvenile delinquents from rich and poor families has disappeared. You can develop this topic in your poverty and juvenile delinquency essay.
Most often, adolescents commit crimes under the influence of their closest associates. This once again proves that the socialization of the person in adolescence is not completed and the influence of the environment, both positive and negative, is too large.
Juvenile delinquency requires a comprehensive and in-depth study. Initial and main accent when working with minors needs to be done on the individual level, which allows taking into account personal characteristics of the adolescent. Prevention of minors’ unlawful behavior underlies in working with parents and children.
If you’re writing the prevention of juvenile delinquency essay, consider including the following areas of work for overcoming resistance to education:
Children need help and support from their teachers. Only with that they will have a positive interest in education. They react very painfully to the actions of teachers who humiliate or expose them in an unattractive light, proving their inconsistency. Resistance aggression is not a villain, but a way of asserting something else they have not mastered. Studies have shown that minors do not have vital goals. Their needs are limited to current affairs or entertainment. In the juvenile crime solutions essay, mention that if the teacher or a parent wants to prevent the negative child development an possible crimes in the future a teenager should be assisted in setting the task of self-development: teach him to plan, represent future actions, their results, be able to foresee the consequences of the offense, exercise self-control and self-education. It is also necessary to stimulate the formation of self-esteem. In adolescence, it can range from very high to lowest. In many ways, it depends on the evaluation of the individual by parents, teachers, and the reference group. Self-esteem is highly important for personal self-determination and orientation toward the positive aspects. Destructive criticism of children can develop inadequate, low self-esteem and conviction that he is "nobody" and "nothing."
Self-esteem affects self-control and self-regulation of behavior. Low self-esteem can lead to difficulties in communicating with other people because it diminishes his personality. To raise his self-esteem, a minor often humiliates others. Such a teenager is dependent on peers, leaders. In a juvenile delinquency essay topics, say that low self-esteem is a red semaphore for future success in communicating with other people, in life and work. It is established that every third offender was brought up in a family in which he constantly faced sharply negative behavior of parents: systematic drunks, scandals, cruelty, crimes.
In a dysfunctional family, children do not realize the most important need - the psychological need for attention and love from parents. They seek to communicate with peers outside the family. Here they find both understanding, attention and recognition. Here nobody curses them for their poor progress and misdeeds. On the contrary, they are encouraged and supported. The group is found to have a much more negative attitude to the moral and legal norms of society than to each of its members individually. Members of such groups drink, use drugs, swear, commit petty theft, a crime.
Modern children are not what we were. Without proper education and control, a teenager can be exposed to other people's influences. Many minor crimes are the consequence of lack of proper control in the family. That is what you have to remember, writing a juveniles tried as adults essay.
Another important characteristic of youth crime is the repeated crime of minors, which show that for a teenager a crime easily becomes a stable form of behavior. The state of recidivism among adolescents in the world is about 30%, which shows the severity of the problem. After leaving prison, young people find it difficult to find a job, sometimes they simply don't have a livelihood. As a rule, they are not able to integrate into the system of economic relations, experience difficulties in communication, cannot rationally use even those measures of social support, which are provided by law. There is a vicious circle, as a result of which young people return to the underworld, understandable to them, as it is difficult for them to settle in an ordinary society.
In 2016, law enforcement bureaus in the U.S. performed 856,130 arrests of individuals under age 18, 58% less than the number of arrests in 2007. Mention this in the juvenile crime rate in USA essay. In Poland, there are family courts that deal with cases involving minors, both those who committed crimes and those who are in a state of demoralization. The practice of these states shows that family courts are very effective. In them, the whole complex of problems related to family and children are discussed and solved. The advantage of these models of justice is that it includes specialists from specialized courts and public services, which have not only professional knowledge, but also experience in this field. If you’re writing an essay on juvenile justice, you should mention that in many countries there now specialized centres that help more offenders understand themselves and become more socially-adjusted. A study of the modern experience of juvenile courts in England, France, Germany has shown that they are specialized centers that develop targeted programs of regional and national importance, aimed at eliminating negative properties and qualities of a minor's personality, the causes, and conditions of his/her criminal behavior. It seems that the social patronage of the family should be closely related to social control. Social control is a mechanism for self-organization and self-preservation of society by establishing and maintaining in a given society a normative order, eliminating, neutralizing or minimizing deviant behavior. It seems that the combination of hard social control and family patronage is an effective measure of early prevention of family deviations. One of the main activities of a special body is targeted social support and necessary services that are provided for a long time to families and adolescents, caught in a difficult or dangerous crisis situation and not having the ability to independently overcome it. Patronage provides an opportunity to observe family in its natural conditions, which will allow to identify causes in a timely manner and neutralize the emerging crisis of the situation. The work is carried out simultaneously with family members and minors who commit illegal actions or actions that do not pose a great public danger. With the proper performance, specialists are able to gently influence the minor, leveling the available deformation of his/her personality. At present, society cannot remain indifferent to such an urgent problem as the repeated crime of minors. In a juvenile delinquency prevention programs essay, state that in order to increase the effectiveness of prevention of juvenile delinquency It is also necessary to involve other agents of institutional correction, in particular, family psychologists and consultants.
Specific circumstances contributing to the involvement of adolescents in criminal activities are a consequence of the action of more general, institutional and social psychological factors, which you should describe in your juvenile delinquency factors essay. They include:
1. Dysfunctionality of the institution of the family. One of the main institutions of socialization of the individual is the family. The first communication skills, stress resistance and subsequent reaction to external stimuli, the ability to adapt to different situations are formed in the family. If the family is a normally functioning institution of society, then its functions are responsibly and differentially performed, as a result of which the need for growth and development of both the family as a whole and each of its members is met. However, the modern family faces many problems, which are subsequently inevitably reflected in the children. Many families need specialist psychologists services, psychotherapists, as there are factors (low level of psychological and pedagogical literacy of parents, attachment to the old way of life, unwillingness to change themselves, as well as relationships in the family), leading to family dysfunction. The big disadvantage of this system is that these bodies often react only to the consequences, leaving the causes of the problem unsolved, without changing the social conditions of the minor. In the essay on parents responsibility of a juvenile crime, it is important to say that essential defects of family education are manifested in the transition to the criminal path. In most cases of crimes committed by minors, it is established that there is a direct negative impact of offending behavior on the part of parents and other senior members of the family (alcohol abuse, rudeness, and cruelty). A low level of culture in such families largely determines the illegal behavior of the parents themselves or the improper parenting of their children. In the juvenile delinquency correlation to adult crime research essay, note that if one of the parents of the minor committed crime in the past, it is more likely that his child will go the same path.
2. Personal characteristics of the child. There is another reason for teenager's “disadaptation” - his personal characteristics. Even a disabled child can be sufficiently adapted in a social environment with a certain attitude of parents and others towards his status. But often, parents do not quite adequately react to the characterological properties, the temperament of the child, which, of course, leaves its imprint on the emergence of it as a person. In the youth crime essay, state that many parents have an idea of a "good" child as a "comfortable" child, but due to the peculiarities of age-related changes, the teenager does not correspond to this view. Then parents begin to fight against the individuality of their child trying to transform it in order to fit the "convenient standard" neglecting the child’s interests. Subsequently, this attitude towards the child leads to family dysfunction, regardless of the result of the struggle.
3. School disadaptation may be a good theme for your juvenile delinquency essay outline. At present, the education system of many countries is in crisis, which is especially reflected in the school. Schools adress the maintenance of discipline in the first place, using any possible means, without placing educational issues in priority. The student's progress depends directly on the attitude of the teacher to a child, his authority, personal importance of educating. Subsequently, poor performance and unsatisfactory behavior at school lead to conflicts in the family, which, in turn, intensifies the relationship between parents and children. The reasons for the school disadaptation are the lack of educational motivation, conflicts between the teacher and the student, complex relationships with classmates and etc.
4. The impact of the informal environment. The impact of informal groups on minors is very significant. Adolescents join informal groups mainly because of difficulties in relationships with parents. Most parents reject any other values, except those that are understood by themselves. Due to this, they recognize neither bad nor good significances in the lives of their children, for example, freedom of expression, self-realization, and others. Subsequently, parents receive an ungovernable teenager who, in opposition to them, seeks everything that parents do not accept, no matter what is good or bad. Thus, in modern society, what was once considered a factor of family stability - the value stiffness of parents - is a risk factor. Negative influence in the immediate environment: domestic, educational, production, etc. is especially significant in connection with the desire of minors to be engaged in the group for joint pastime. They tend to look like leaders of these “bands” both in appearance and behavior. In the essay on juvenile delinquency and drug use, it would be appropriate to mention that with the direct decomposing effect of drunkards and hooligans give him the wrong idea of "permissibility" and impunity of criminal acts of a certain kind, as well as actions, evidence of a gap between the words and actions of educators.
5. Causes of socio-demographic and socio-economic nature: low material level, large families, single-parent families. Despite of material difficulties of large families or incomplete families, they don’t determine juvenile delinquency, the effect of these factors is generally negative. The lack of time and resources to create favorable conditions for the child’s progress, lack of experience or the necessary knowledge end up in a consolidation of aberrant behavior. The most difficult is the social environment in single-parent families. The collapse of the family, being a strong stressor both for a mother and a child, is enhanced by a low level of social protection. Unfortunately, the current legal system of many countries of the world does not take into account all these factors. Include this in your juvenile justice system essay. Studies show the compelling relationship of juvenile delinquency with neglect, which is a consequence of the weakening of the institution of the family and the inability of families, especially incomplete, to provide conditions for full-fledged socialization.
Juvenile delinquency essay writing is an important task, so consider describing the factors contributing to the formation and consolidation of the delinquent behavior of adolescents, which operate at various levels of social organization. The micro level is the level of family and interpersonal relationships. This level includes such factors as family conflicts, antisocial behavior in a family context, disorders of psychosocial development due to stressful situations. Because of the lack of emotionally warm trusting relationships with parents, sometimes due to severe treatment, children develop sensory hunger (lack of feelings, sensations), which leads to emotional underdevelopment. The child does not form such socially significant qualities as a sense of duty, conscience, feelings of love, sympathy. If on the part of close people he’s with treated rudeness, unfriendliness, indifference, he experiences a constant sense of anxiety, feels unprotected, does not trust adults and the world as a whole. As a consequence, negative social emotions and reactions are fixed: self-doubt, distrust, a sense of loneliness, avoidance of communication. As a means of adaptation, asocial reactions are used: lie, cunning, hypocrisy, aggression. As the teenager grows up, all these qualities become the basic principles of activity. This one of the most important juvenile delinquency topics for a research paper.
Meso level is the level of social groups and organizations. To this level, we can include factors related to alienation from communicating with prosperous peers, from collectives, from membership in public organizations, the preference of the antisocial environment of communication. The motives for this behavior of minors are aggression or fear. Aggressive behavior is expressed in physical or moral attacks on others, needs in power, domination over others. Such teenagers are leaders by nature. They are arrogant towards others. Minors, experiencing a sense of fear, act as slaves led by asocial leaders. These teenagers are easy to persuade, to subordinate. In most cases, adolescents have low self-esteem, so they need a constant leader, who is found among the aggressive peers. When a teenager does not receive recognition at school, the means of self-actualization becomes a street, informal groups. Believing to be of no use to anyone, they seek support and influence in marginal peer groups in which they can feel "their own" importance, communicate on an equal footing, form their new identity. Having problems in interpersonal relations with adults and peers, the teenager relies on other mechanisms of socialization, which lead to a misconception of self-image. Having appeared under the influence of the marginal street environment, the teenager forms asocial identification, fixes negative norms, attitudes, patterns of behavior. That is why juveniles should not be tried as adults. They are not grown enough to realize and objectify their own deeds. Add this to your essays on juveniles being tried as adults.
Macro level is the level of social, economic, political, legal, and cultural progress of the society. This level includes unemployment, political instability, interethnic conflicts, peculiarities of legal regulation and penitentiary system, effects of mass culture popularization. So, writing the research paper on juvenile offenders, add info about levels of social conditioning of juvenile delinquency.
So, the first thing to change in the adolescents’ consciousness is their view fo the world, inspiring it to a greater and better level. This may be a good juvenile delinquency essay conclusion.
